Not listed in this section, but critical components are UV Sterilizers, Phosphate Reactors, Refugiums and RO Systems.

UV Sterilizers prevent free floating algae from reproducing.

RO Systems use reverse osmosis to produce purified water without phosphates and other substances that encourage algae growth.

Refugiums cultivate algae outside of the main tank, resulting in the consumption of algae nutrients.

Phosphate Reactors remove phosphate.
