The height of the reaction chamber of the Berlin X2 Turbo
has been increased by 5 cm / 2" to get the most from the
increased performance of the new high efficiency
pinwheel impeller, which replaces the 18-blade impeller
found in previous Berlin Turbo models. The pinwheel
provides an increased quantity of superfine air bubbles in
a powerful, homogeneous air-water mixture. The X2 Turbo
has a maximum water throughput of 900 lph / 225 gph
and maximum air throughput of 300 lph / 75 gph.
Triple-Pass air bubbles are forced along a circuitous
three-way route inside the reactor chamber, which
maximizes the contact time between the air bubbles and
water. The patented Air Return Skirt prevents air
bubbles from escaping the skimmer with the water flow
and reentering the aquarium.
FoamView patented window built into the side of
collection cup allows you to quickly and accurately
evaluate foam production and adjust accordingly.
Tangential water inlet causes turbulent flow and a
swirling motion that increases the mixing action of the
water and air bubbles
90° reaction chamber the 90° offset between the inlet
and outlet of the reaction chamber saves space and
increases efficiency for in-sump use.
